• Tourism all set to contribute more to NZ economy

    With the results of December 2022 quarter GDP setting out a drop of 0.6%, for tourism, there is a true opportunity to play an important role in moving to positive territory, the Chief Executive of Tourism Industry Aotearoa, Rebecca Ingram said recently.
    Pre-COVID tourism contributed 5.6% of GDP directly and this declined to 3.0% through the COVID period as the sector alone aimed on domestic tourism.
