    Millennials fueled the housing market boom in 2020, but it wasn't enough to close the generational gap.
    At age 30, 42% of millennials are homeowners, per a new report , compared to 51% of boomers at that age.
    Several effects of the pandemic, including the housing boom, also shut some millennials out of the market entirely.
