  • Pudong to permit around 200 countryside B&B hotels

    This year, Pudong will permit around 200 countryside B&B hotels to make the most of the reviving tourism sectors, while improving the village revenue.
    The minsu lodgings, which are the Chinese equal to B&B, are largely reconditioned from countryside houses in pastoral towns.
    These housings are expected to fetch approximately 500,000 tourists to the new area and drive the yearly intake by 2 billion Yuan, said Huang Wei, the director of Pudong's promotional department.
    On March 15, the Pudong government released ‘comprehensive minsu license' for the first lot of 50 operators.
