• No more plastic cups for Alaska Airlines

    The Seattle-based carrier said it has completely eliminated plastic cups on its flights, replacing them with paper cups.
    It's all part of a sustainability push that the airline says will eliminate the use of nearly 55 million plastic cups a year.
    Alaska will now serve inflight beverages in Forest Stewardship Council-certified paper cups or reusable glassware .
    The FSC certifies products from “responsibly managed” forests, according to its website.
    Alaska says the move makes it the first U.S. airline to fully remove single-use plastic cups from its flights.
