    At the start of the May Day holiday, the day trippers and sightseeing tourists from China were out in force on Saturday as the country keeps on working on its economic recovery from the massive pandemic. In Wuhan, Hubei Daily reported that by train, around 1 million people took a trip and more than 1 million vehicles were seen on the roads, creating severe congestion on many highways.
    More than 1.1 million people visited the Beijing's tourist attractions, a rise of 56 per cent from the same day in 2021, Beijing Daily reported.

    On Saturday, Chinese day trippers and sightseers were seen out in huge numbers at the start of the May Day holiday as the country continues its economic recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.
