    The US government will pay $24.6 million to the widow of an Air Force contractor who was killed after an F-16 accidentally strafed his position, court records show.
    The US government, through the Air Force, "was responsible for the acts and omissions" that occured during the live-fire nighttime training exercise in January 2017, a judge said.

    The US Air Force's StormBreaker smart weapon has a unique tri-mode seeker that allow pilots to hit moving targets on land or at sea in adverse weather or low visibility.

    Air Combat Command recently signed off on the Raytheon-made bomb known as Stormbreaker for the F-15E fighter jet.
    Stormbreaker, a 250-pound-class attack weapon, uses a millimeter wave radar to track land and sea targets through any kind of weather, according to Raytheon.
