    Strong winds and low humidity increase the threat of wildfires and power shutoffs in Southern California over the Thanksgiving holiday.
    A red flag warning affecting 17 million people goes into effect Wednesday morning for Ventura, Los Angeles, portions of San Bernardino, Riverside, Orange and San Diego counties, according to the National Weather Service .
    A red flag warning means critical fire weather conditions are expected, including strong winds, low relative humidity and warm temperatures, the NWS said.
