• Toronto bound Fly Jamaica crash lands at Guyana airport, several injured

    A mechanically faulty Fly Jamaica flight which was bound to Toronto made emergency landing and crashed into a fence at Guyana's main international airport. It left six passengers injured and several other Canadians shaken emotionally.
    There were 82 Canadians on board of Fly Jamaica flight OJ256. It experienced a hydraulics failure, soon after departing from Georgetown, Guyana.
    According to the Airline officials the Boeing 757-2000 aircraft experienced an emergency within 20 minutes after taking off from the Cheddi Jagan International Airport. Upon landing, it skidded off the runway...
