Edmonton Convention Centre to offer temporary shelter to homeless

The city administration has decided to help homeless people by offering them temporary shelter at the Edmonton Convention Centre on Friday. The city has recently focussed on offering support to all homeless people, after large encampments were established in the Rossdale and Old Strathcona areas. The city estimated that over 2,000 people are suffering from the issue of homelessness, out of which some 600 are sleeping outside or unsheltered on any given night.
