• Union govt allocates Rs 1351 cr to Northeast states for tourism

    On Wednesday Indian tourism minister KJ Alphons said in Kisama, Nagaland, that the central government had allocated a whopping sum of Rs 1351 crore to the eight states of the North-eastern Region to boost their tourism potential.
    This means each of the states will receive Rs 193 crore. But when it comes to the ground, people across the region have not been able to see anything significant happening in the major tourist destinations.
